Baby's First Picture!!

We are now officially in Week 7 as of Friday! Let me just tell you, I couldn't be happier that Week 6 is over!

The week started with real morning sickness.. I thought I had been feeling it before, but I apparently had no clue what our little bundle of joy had in store for me during Week 6! Then, as if being sick or completely exhausted most of the time wasn't enough, Baby Reif decides to throw in a little scare that had me breaking down at work and heading straight for the hospital. Matt and I spent Wednesday afternoon worried and waiting for 3 hours to get into the Same Day Emergency Center at Tripler's OB/GYN office. As it turned out, everything was just fine, and we were able to watch our baby's tiny heart beating away! It was absolutely amazing- and that's a huge understatement! I went from feeling like my whole world was falling down around me, to being happier than ever! Our little baby still had a few tricks up her sleeve though- and sent me right back into panic mode the very next day.. The OB office was closed for training and for the holiday, so I prescribed myself bedrest , took Friday off of work, and have been taking it easy. Everything is fine now, and just to be sure, I'll head over to the OB office when they reopen for a check-up. It seems our baby is going to keep us on our toes.. hopefully not a sign of what's to come! Haha!

My husband is absolutely amazing. My mood swings are a little nutty right now, especially with everything that has been going on, and he has been the best, supporting me through all of it! I love him.

Also, like Matt said, a HUGE thank you to my mom, Matt's mom, and Aunt Dawn, who have totally been there for us when we needed advice or someone on our side! You guys are the best! We love you!

Feel free to leave comments- we love reading them! We're also thinking of baby names, so if you have any good ones in mind, post them and we'll give them some consideration :)

  2. Dang! I was planning on coming here to comment on the exact same thing Sarah said. I couldn't help but smile when I saw you referred to the baby as a "her." =)
