That being said, we are now 11 weeks and 1 day into the pregnancy- only six days left in this awful first trimester!!! I'm hoping that, like everyone has told me, I'm going to wake up some time next week and no longer be nauseous or tired. That will be super. I have been feeling a little bit better though, and so long as I never let myself get hungry, and I get at least 12 hours of sleep each night, I know it'll most likely be a good day. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen often.
I've read that the baby is now the size of a plum. She can open and close her hands (which are now starting to grow finger nails) and she likes to touch her face a lot! Her diaphragm is starting to work, so she's getting hiccups now, too! I'm still not showing at all (thank you, morning sickness), but that little bump that I can feel in my tummy is getting bigger!
The past couple weeks have been pretty quiet. I had our first OB appointment on the 24th, but it turned out that I was only there to fill out paperwork, not for an exam or anything. I will have to wait until August 18th, when I meet with the midwife, to hear my little one's heartbeat. That is also when we will be able to rule out twins- or find out we're having twins- and hopefully schedule the ultrasound to confirm the gender.
And speaking of gender! I took the Intelligender test on July 24th also, as soon as we were10 weeks along! The pictures of the results are at the end of this post. You're supposed to compare the color of the liquid (not the powder/shadows at the bottom) with the color on the BOY or GIRL label on the container. I don't know about you guys- but that looks like a girl result to me! So I'm pretty excited about that, I've been hoping for a little girl all along! I do know that the test isn't 100%, and we'll have the gender confirmed with an ultrasound with the baby is big enough, but we had fun taking the test and arguing over what the results meant! (It seems my husband is a little bit color-blind.)

GIRL. Looks like a girl, folks.
